My Journey
In 2001, I co-founded QuinScape GmbH alongside Dr. Gero Presser and Dr. Norbert Jesse. What began as a close-knit team of five evolved – through shared values, complementary strengths, and a clear strategic vision – into a thriving technology company with over 200 team members. As a founding trio, we always believed in building something larger than ourselves: a company rooted in culture, purpose, and long-term impact.
Over more than two decades, I focused on the strategic development of enterprise customer relationships, shaping mission-critical solutions across industries. I was also responsible for building and scaling QuinScape’s partnership network – collaborating with forward-looking platforms such as Spring, Kony, and cplace to unlock mutual growth and long-term value. These relationships became key pillars of the company’s business model.
In 2019, I helped initiate the transformation that led to Dataciders GmbH, formed together with a private equity partner as a service group focused on data and AI consulting. We brought together multiple specialized companies under one cohesive cultural and strategic roof. Over time, the network grew to more than 650 professionals – and guiding that evolution taught me how to align growth, clarity, and values at scale.
Those years shaped my conviction that strong culture, smart capital, and a clear sense of purpose are what allow companies – and people – to achieve legendary potential.
My Approach
I have long been a champion of strong team cultures built on shared values, clear principles, and proven methods. For me, success isn’t just about the technology – it’s about people and purpose. I believe that every organization needs clarity in its vision, mission, and strategy to truly thrive. In my experience leading growing companies, I’ve seen how a distinct corporate culture can become a “competitive superpower”: it propels a company to excellence by empowering its people.
In practice, this means I focus on creating an environment of trust, transparency, and continuous learning. I encourage teams to take ownership and align their work with a larger purpose. By pairing deep technical insight with cultural leadership, I strive to ensure that innovation and team cohesion go hand in hand. My goal is always to build organizations that are not only high-performing, but also great places to work – where a clear vision and strong values guide us forward.
My Interests
Outside of my day-to-day business, I remain a technologist and creative at heart. I stay engaged with the latest in software engineering and artificial intelligence, and I’m passionate about crafting forward-thinking IT strategies. I also love exploring the world through photography, capturing moments and perspectives beyond the office. And as a lifelong fan of games and storytelling, I’ve been deeply involved in the realm of roleplaying games.
One personal passion project I’m known for is the roguelike game ADOM (Ancient Domains of Mystery), which I created and have maintained over many years. ADOM has become a cult classic – it’s even regarded as one of the five foundational roguelike games. What began as a hobby and a dream of mine evolved into a genre-defining game, a testament to how I enjoy turning bold ideas into reality. This hobby-turned-legacy exemplifies the spirit I bring to all my ventures: a belief that with vision, dedication, and the right team culture, we can transform ambitious ideas into lasting impact.
